Leaders of The Revolution
- Marie Antoinette: she was the queen of France during the start of the revolution. She was lacking education, and other than reading novels, never opened a book. She was uninterested in how her people were doing. When a conversation turned serious, she had a look of boredom. She was very greedy with money, even though the people of France were living in poverty and starving.
- Louis XVI: He was the king of France during the start of the revolution, and the husband of Marie Antoinette. Louis was also very greedy, he could never have enough money. He was executed publicly on January 21st, 1793 by his own people who were unhappy with his leadership.
- George Danton: He was a leading figure in the early stages of the revolution, and was the first president of the Committee of Public Safety. It is said he was the leader in overthrowing the monarchy. He was beheaded during the reign of terror by the French military. George Danton, in most peoples eyes, was one of the biggest revolutionaries behind the revolution.
- Maximilien Robespierre: A brilliant political tactician and lawyer, who during the Reign of Terror (1793–1794), attempted to silence all enemies of the Revolution in an effort to save France from invasion. After the moderates regained power and the Thermidorian Reaction was under way, they had Robespierre executed on July 28, 1794.
